10k Gold Conversion Ring | Antique Victorian Jewelry

This one of a kind ring is the marriage of two beautiful pieces. I purchased the gold fist component, and it appeared to have perhaps been used as a clasp of some kind in the past, likely early-mid 19th century. It was broken, but I had to have it!

When I found the gold cigar band, I knew it would be perfect for this piece. The band is engraved with a grapevine motif and the inside is engraved with two letters that appear to be YG.

Victorians loved their symbolism, and often these symbols have the potential for a variety of different meanings, including your own personal ones. The fist can often represent strength, while the grapevine can symbolize eternity.

Tested as 10k gold.

Approx US ring size 9.25, but likely best for closer to an 8.5 due to the wide width of the band.
