This sweet little aide-memoire or notebook was a gift from a trip to Germany in 1849-1850! It features exquisite enamel work and gilt repoussé edges. The interior is a lovely pink moiré silk. Inside you will find a small book of pages, a handwritten note, and a bone handled pencil.
Likely one of a kind. A very special piece!

Lovely condition overall, especially considering its age. There is a very small amount of loss to the enamel in a few places, as well as some deterioration to the silk where the pencil slides in.
