1860s Gingham Dress

Incredible gingham dress of black and white check with sage green trim circa 1860s.
This is a sturdy, cotton dress, and it has survived in fantastic condition, still surprisingly strong.
Hook and eye closures up the front with bodice and skirt attached. A large pocket on one side. Entirely hand sewn(!!!)
+++ Measurements +++
Approx 26" (high) waist, 36" bust, 52" long.
+++ Condition +++
This dress is in fantastic condition considering her age, one of the best I have ever come across. The fabric and stitching is all still intact and sturdy.
The trim has deteriorated some, and there are some pieces missing as well as some noticeable wear to the cuffs.
Some of the hooks/eyes are slightly loose but they are all present.
A few small, scattered, barely visible stains. Also some small stains in the bodice lining.
Over all just a fabulous example, and this piece is actually still wearable with care, though for such an old garment I would not recommend it for regular use, as I would hope it could be preserved and appreciated for many years to come.
