Fabulous sterling silver brooch circa 1880s.
This brooch was made during the Aesthetic movement, which emphasized the appreciation of art for art's sake (outside of any political or moral context).
It features a beautiful engraved design of a bee in a uniquely shaped frame.
Marked "SILVER" on the back.
