This lovely black silk wrapper or tea gown circa late 1890s is beautiful and imperfect, due to her age she is best as a study or display piece.
Inner bodice of cotton with button closures. Hook and eye closures on the outer gown from waist to collar. Grosgrain ribbon tie at the waist. If I ever start sewing, a tea gown is going to be my first project. I imagine lounging around in one of these, drinking tea in the parlor (I'll need to get a parlor), draped across a chaise longue (also need to procure). She has a stunning watteau back and train!

Fair to good condition with some flaws to note:
Several small holes throughout, from pinhead size to golf ball size
Tearing/significant wear at the hem
Split in one sleeve seam
Wear around the collar and cuffs
Missing one button at the inner bodice closures
Missing some hook and eye closures on the bodice
Best for study or display. Would be wearable with extra care for a photoshoot.
