Beautiful "bohemian garnet" brooch in the shape of a crescent moon with a flower.
Deep, rich garnets set into gilt metal.

Crescent moons are a symbol of the divine feminine and were a popular honeymoon gift from a husband to his new wife in the 19th and early 20th centuries.

Lovely condition with normal wear commensurate with age. There may be a tiny stone missing from the tip of the moon, but it is not clear if there was a stone there originally or not. Either way, it is not noticeable.
