Beautiful, ornate electroplated nickel silver (EPNS) belt circa 1900s. I have seen these often referred to has "nurse's belts" though I have not personally been able to find the source of this information.
You can easily hang a chatelaine from this belt, which makes it both lovely and utilitarian.
The clasp is in the back.

It measures approximately 26" long and can be worn smaller if desired.
The buckle is 3" tall and the smallest links in the back are 1.25" tall.
