Art Deco Sterling Silver Folding Lorgnette

Solid sterling silver lorgnette on a sterling silver chain. These magnifying glasses were a popular women's fashion accessory, worn to parties and to the opera.

They fold up and pop out with the push of a button!

+++ Measurements +++

The chain measures 24" with a 4.5" drop. The lorgnette measures 3.25" when closed and 4.75" when opened.

+++ Condition +++

The glasses are simple magnifiers and work fine as readers.

There are minor surface scratches on the lenses, one large enough to be noticeable upon close inspection, but overall they are in good condition and present beautifully.

Still quite usable if desired, or lovely simply worn as a necklace.
