Lovely octagonal lens folding glasses or lorgnette with 12k white gold filled frames on a beautiful long chain.
The lenses are slightly magnified. Also known as opera glasses, these were a very popular fashionable accessory in the 19th century and into the early 20th century.
They have a little push button that allows them to be popped out when you need them. Otherwise they look quite elegant worn folded up.
