This beautiful cut steel butterfly hair pin dates from the mid-late 19th century.
It features a cut steel butterfly attached to a hinged, two-prong hair pin. Would be a lovely companion piece to the cut steel butterfly necklace I have also listed in the shop!

Lovely condition overall with some patina, no visible rust (cut steel pieces should be kept dry, as they have a tendency to rust easily when exposed to moisture).
The pins aren't completely straight, but this does not affect wear.
