Amazing "Bohemian garnet" snake brooch circa 1890s-1900s.
This brooch is actually a watch pin, meaning it has a hook on the back side to hang a pocket watch. However, this means it can also be worn as a pendant on a chain!
During the Victorian era, garnets mined in Bohemia, an area later known as Czechoslovakia, became very popular in jewelry.
I've seen many Bohemian garnet pieces, but never a snake! This one is quite special.
Listing is for the brooch only. Chain sold separately.
