Beautiful retractable gold filled pencil pendant on a gold filled long guard chain!

I have seen these referred to as "magic" pencils, due to the way can go from being a lovely pendant one moment, and then a functional pencil the next with one quick motion.

The long guard chain is also a bit magical in its own right--you can style it so many different ways! These were often worn as watch chains by ladies during the Victorian era, with the watch tucked into a waistband or belt.

Pencil is signed FAIRCHILD.

The pencil does not have any lead but it appears to function properly. However I am selling as a decorative piece as I have not been able to test its functionality.
