Adorable dark brown faux seal plush capelet circa 1890s.
The silk "seal plush" is made to look like seal fur. Capelet is lined with a lovely purple quilted silk satin and has a small in the lining.
Toggle closure at the collar and pocket trim appear to be real fur.
Found an extra fur toggle in the pocket, but I am not certain where it belongs. Will include!
Collar can be worn standing up or folded down.

Fair to good condition with some flaws to note:
Quite dusty from storage
Missing some of the hook/eye closures
Wear and tear to the silk lining
Seam separations between lining and outer capelet
Wearable with extra care but likely best for study, display, or pattern-making.
