Gorgeous silver (tested, marked 900) and turquoise snake brooch circa 1890s to early 1900s. He has little red paste eyes and a coiled body.
During the Victorian era, Queen Victoria's snake engagement ring from Prince Albert sparked a snake jewelry craze, though snakes have been worn in jewelry for centuries.
The snake motif is commonly associated with eternal love and wisdom.
