Beautiful, ornate electroplated nickel silver (EPNS) belt circa 1900s-1910s.
I have seen these often referred to as "nurse's belts," though I have not personally been able to find original sources referring to them as such.
You can easily hang a chatelaine from this belt, which makes it both lovely and utilitarian.
The clasp is in the back. It is marked EPNS on each chain link.

Lovely condition with some patina and surface wear. I have not cleaned or polished this piece, but it would shine up nicely if that is your preference.
