Late Victorian Snake Brooch | Hand Painted Photo

Large, fabulous gold filled brooch framed with snakes and ivy leaves circa 1890s.

The brooch features a beautiful photo of an older woman, which has been hand painted to bring it to life.

The photo is protected by glass and is removable if you prefer to add your own photograph of memento. This could have also been used as a hair brooch.

I have seen many brooches like this but none quite so stunning and unique. The snakes are beautifully detailed!

It is in wonderful condition with minor wear to the back of the brooch. Clasp functions perfectly. Glass is clear and free from cracks and fits securely into the front of the brooch.
