Beautiful heavy gold filled book chain necklace circa 1880s-1890s featuring an owl! It really is an exquisite piece, and I have never seen one with an owl before.
It is so incredibly detailed! Each little chain link is engraved with a little swallow on one side and an X pattern on the other side.
The owl itself is fabulous as well. Over all it is just a stunning piece, one of a kind.
